Techniques of Singing

Professional singers often find themselves performing in more than just one style of music, So if you are beginer it's your voice that you have study variety of  Singing technique! A singer is always juggling two balls in the air. One is technique and other is emotion.  When you focus too much on emotion, technique falls flat, and when you focus too much on technique the emotion suffers. Here is the some ways to which singers sing with more emotions and confidence by overcoming the mess of technique and emotion.

1.MARKING
It's a technique  for rehearsing in a light voice. It is a powerful technique that trains the voice to accurately execute the intervals of the melody line and find the center of pitch without strain. When you rehearse the song this way, you will perform with greater ease and better pitch. Another way to explain this technique is to sing "small but clear". During your practice try to be as accurate pitch wise as you can.you have to continue your practice until your voice execute perfect pitch.

2.MATRIXING PITCH AND PERFECTING EXECUTION
Te meaning of  "matrix" is that within or from which something else develops or originates. This technique programs the notes of your melody into your neuron muscle  memory and strengthens the singers ear and pitch. Particularly useful for preparing material for a performance and the recording studio.  Matrix* the melody by finding the corresponding notes on the keys of the piano. You don’t have to play the piano in order to do this. Spending the time to find the actual notes will show you the roadmap of your melody in a visual manner, further impressing it in your mind’s eye.

3.PUTTING SOUL AND EMOTION IN YOUR VOICE
This process develops a strong sense of rhythm which leads to more emotions. It develops a singer's soulfullness and makes the feel good and very attractive.  At the same time, understanding of the lyrics is very important. When you know the lyrics by hard, you can connect to them better, and having a similar experience as the composer. You have to feel each and every lyrics of the song with every beat of it simultaneously as what you are talking about has actually happened to you and you can 'feel' the feel right there. You have to 'know' what you're talking about. If you're singing a sad song, put in the pain, tell them that it hurts. If you're singing a romantic number, let the world know you love the person like anything, let them know that every single world is coming in from the deepest core of your heart.

4.MAKE IT YOURS
Every singer have their own unique way of expressing their way of interpreting the songs. The key is to not get in your own way. A lot of people run into difficulty here becz they are afraid to step out their own way. It is easier to copy someone else expressions phrasing and movement, it seeems like safer route.
However stepping out your own and doing it in your own way is what gives singer recognition and own life style.

5.MONOLOGUE YOUR LYRICS
A trick or technique of deepening your emotional connection to the song is to speak the lyrics out loud like an actor doing a monologue. Make sure you mean what are you saying, that means asking yourself what i m thinking , feeling and saying in the phrase. Your goal is to get each phrase coming from you with more conviction and authenticity.

Forethought for singing

For Singers the singing is just not the profession and interest, it is one of the most important aspect of their life, singing  is how they relate themselves to the world.

The lifestyle of a Singer varies widely. Singers work hard, they spend time writing songs, rehearsing songs, and working on their performance abilities. Touring takes a lot of time and energy, and can mean that the Singer is on the road more than they are at home. Most Singers perform at night, so staying up late is par for the course. All these problems and difficulties effects on singers' voice which may impact their popularity, their earnings, their fan following, their value and many other things.
To avoid these, singers must have proper diet, do not smoke, free from stress, not to talk over and many other things have to do to maintain their voice.

 DIET
Fresh food is always better for voice than processed food. They want to make sure that they eat enough to fill them up, but not so much that they are  feeling too full and therefore vomit or nauseous. It should be  balanced meal with protein to keep them going, and boosts energy level.

what to eat?
Fresh Fruits
Vegetables
Chicken
Fish
Eggs
Vitamin A
Honey
Room temperature Water

what NOT to eat?
Spicy foods
Alcohol
Soda
Fried foods
Cold water
Butter
Chocolates
Caffeine
Processed sugar
Nuts
Coffee
Milk cheese and other dairy product

  SMOKING
According to research at the New York University Medical center, smoking and exposure to smoke irritate and dry the tissues of the throat, particularly the vocal cords. This leads to improper vocal cord vibration and function. Smoking also may promote acid reflux, which can affect the vocal cords. Finally, smoking degrades lung function, which affects the voice by decreasing airflow through the vocal cords.

  STRESS
Stress can strain your voice, as tension in the muscles of the neck and upper body can change the shape of the larynx slightly, and can cause the vocal cords to constrict. This can change the voice so that it becomes higher than usual. Occasionally, when people are under severe stress, one of the effects on the body can be a complete inability to make sound. This is not a problem that arises in the vocal cords; it is a psychological effect that makes the affected person completely unable to speak, even though the voice box shows no physical impairment. This is becoming more common in people with very stressful jobs, who are put under further stress because of the downturn in the economy. Having continual high levels of stress when one of the important functions that you perform is public speaking can trigger voice loss as a way of avoiding further stress.

OVERUSE VOICE
Each time you talk or sing, you use different muscles, including some in your mouth and throat. Just like other muscles in your body, overuse of the ones that help you speak can lead to fatigue, strain, and injury. The wrong technique can also bring on hoarseness.
